Volunteering for WordCamp Portland 2010

Support The Platforms & Communities That Support You

We are very very excited because WordCamp Portland 2010 is upon us. We are excited because Matt Mullenweg is conducting a Town Hall and many other awesome people are speaking. We are excited because the event is sold out. We are excited because we are going to get to hang out. We have volunteered to help support the event, because we should.

  • We believe in Open Source Software.
  • We believe in WordPress.
  • We believe in Portland.
  • We believe in supporting community.
  • So we give back.
  • So we volunteer.

Support The Open Source Software That Supports You

Millions of people use WordPress everyday to publish content, to share their lives, to be socialize and WP powers 8% of all the websites that exist on the internet. Blogs have been used to change the course of the news, our history and the dialoge that happens between people all over the world. A part of that change is due to the open source software – WordPress.

WordCamp WordPress.org

People think open source software is free but it isn’t. It’s powered by community, by people giving back to the things that give to them and enhance their lives and businesses. So give back and volunteer for the next WordCamp. Donate $5 to all those plugin developers that extend your WordPress CMS. Spread the word about the things that help you, things like WordPress.
